Vaastu by Design, Ronald Quinn

Vaastu is both a spiritual and a practical science. It's effects are often dynamic and immediate. Some of it's effects are long term and may emerge more strongly over time. Small changes in both the intent and the design of Vaastu in it's practice will influence the results in varying degrees. There is nothing arbitrary in the manifestation of the universe.

Vaastu recognizes the primal intelligence and precision inherent in the manifestation of energy into matter. It defines this process through the science of light and sound, as time and space through measurable frequencies, wave lengths, and wave motions. These measures are translated as sound tones or musical notes into light waves. Light wave measures, form the base for the Taala measuring system (compare to metric or English measuring systems). Wave motions are translated into geometrical forms. Together, the Taala measures and purposeful geometry, become a language more powerful than any known written or spoken language, today. Wave lengths and geometry in sculpture and architecture form the apex of creative language.

Various effects of Vaastu may be measured with sensitive, modern electronic instruments. A whole plethora of subtle effects resulting through Vaastu applications may be observed over time through experience. Some of these effects are so subtle that individuals may not even be aware that their experiences are being influenced by Vaastu energy applications. Awareness of Vaastu, with observation of changes and experiences which may be related to it's application, will assist in this exciting and forever unfolding process of co-creation with the conscious universe. Some effects are very dynamic, with immediate and outstanding results.

The Vaastu which I practice is based upon the true South Indian Vaastu as taught and practiced by Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati of Chennai and Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, South India. Some of the key aspects of Vaastu which I observe meticulously in my work are:

1. Timing.

2. Aesthetics.

3. Functionality.

4. The language of sacred geometry and purposeful form.

5. Precise measurements of light/sound.

6. Correct alignment with terrestrial and celestial energy grids.

7. Observing and utilizing powerful, natural life forces, energy vortexes, and subtle nuclear energies and principles.

8. Intention and purpose.

9. Connection with pure, universal, life force principles through ceremony, meditation, and conscious inner awareness.

10. Every action as conscious service for the benefit of all life, and conscious integration of each aspect and part with the whole.

The following are a few of the experiences which I have observed in connection with my own Vaastu work. All of the following experiences and observations are associated with buildings and other constructions designed as per the principles of true South Indian Vaastu, by the author. Names of individuals are withheld for the sake of privacy.

On one occasion, when the construction crew raised the fourth post and beam wall for a rectangular Vaastu barn, the frequencies of their radio, which was playing inside the structure, were instantly shifted so that the radio was unable to connect with any station while inside the structure. This occurred at the moment that the fourth wall was raised and connected at the corners. Prior to this, six to eight broadcasting stations were readily accessible and the radio had been playing steadily prior to this occurrence. This phenomena occurred again when the house walls were raised on the same site. In both instances, the availability to play the radio inside the structure returned after a period of time. It would appear that the radio (and likely other) frequencies were shifted by the building's highly designed vibrational field at very subtle levels, and the completion for this shift took place over a specific time frame.

In another instance, the erection of the skeleton frame for a very large geodesic dome, immediately created an audible echo within the structure. This was observed prior to any skin covering which could normally cause an echo effect. This structure was carefully measured for its Vaastu ayaadi frequencies, and erected accordingly.

The carpenters who erected the frame walls for a stick frame garage, discovered accidentally that once the four walls were in place, the wood studs took on a new musical quality. I arrived on the job site the next morning to be introduced enthusiastically to their newly discovered orchestra. Striking the wood members caused them to ring with resonant, high toned musical notes, not heard before by these experienced carpenters.

At another occasion, the erection of a small Vaastu temple shifted a well observed negative, probably man-made energy grid line. This subtle grid line had been the specific site of many auto accidents where it crossed the highway nearby, and also had a negative effect upon the local vegetation. With the erection of this building, there were no more accidents and the vegetation improved in its growth patterns. In this case, the negative grid line moved about one hundred feet to a less obtrusive location. If it continued to cause any problems these have not been observed by this author or reported, to my knowledge.

This same building, has been observed by several individuals to have had healing effects and to powerfully support the effects of clarity, and inner connection during meditation and healing ceremonies.

One new Vaastu country home site has changed the migratory route of the wild geese, who now come in to visit the new home, near a small lake. After the corner stone was laid and the mandala for the home was in place, several interesting effects were observed. Sensitive persons visiting the site reported feeling the shift of the energy immediately upon approaching the site. Wildlife, some of which had not been observed in the area before, began visiting the site in increased numbers. One individual, after spending a short time within the mandala, experienced a rather dramatic physical and emotional healing. After this healing, she was filled with a sense of deep, heart felt peace, beyond anything which she had experienced before that time. Immediately upon the intention and staking of this same Vaastu home site, the owners experienced a remarkable increase in their income, with surprising new job and career opportunities.

One individual staying as a guest in this completed Vaastu home and without any expectations at all as to what she might experience, reported the following. She had been struggling for some years with chronic depression. After one day and her second night in this home, she experienced a deep connection with her own inner heart source through the medium of the building's clear connection with the universal inner core of being. She describes this experience in the following manner; “I awoke feeling uplifted on a current of joy and a feeling of delight in a new day. This was a very different experience for me, since I usually awake feeling deeply depressed. This feeling of well being, was upheld by a deep inner sense of being connected at my heart level with a powerful clarity of connection with the divine being. This connection was free of all judgments and at the same time, was like a crystal clear light which revealed every dark shadow of my depression and liberated me without effort. I could see clearly what my true state of spiritual being is and simply be there.”

A casual visitor to this same Vaastu home, knowing nothing of Vaastu, told the owners; “I have recently built a new home for myself, and it is extremely uncomfortable for me to be in it. You have certainly done something right, because your home 'feels' very good”.

A few years ago, I carefully designed a Vaastu mandala for a labyrinth high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The morning designated for the dedication of the completed labyrinth, dawned bright and clear, without a cloud in the sky. At the close of the dedication, when I had cut the tape, I invited the owner to be the first to walk the labyrinth. During the dedication, a few thunder clouds had rolled up over the distant mountains. They were still distant and unobtrusive. At the moment in which the owner reached the center of the labyrinth, a powerful bolt of lightning reached out from the still somewhat distant clouds and struck very near by, reverberating with thunder. Soon after, the owner walked this labyrinth at night under the full moon. Early the next morning, she went into town to her favorite coffee shop. When she opened the door, the electricity went out. This caused everyone in the shop to look up curiously. With her coffee in hand, she walked out again, and as she closed the door, the electricity in the building came back on again. This time looking back she saw everyone looking at her very curiously. This same lady had several other notable experiences in connection with this labyrinth, which I will not relate here.

A friend of ours from Chennai, India visited and walked this labyrinth with us the following summer. She told us that the energy of the labyrinth was very like that of a famous and powerful temple in India. She advised that no one should stand in the center of the labyrinth because of the power resonating within it's nucleus.

Several individuals reported interesting experiences in this same labyrinth. I will relate one more. A young lady told me that when she walked the labyrinth, she felt nothing, and was disappointed because several other persons were sharing their experiences at the time. However, that night when she prepared for bed, she found that she had so much energy that she decided to go for a walk, first. As she walked under the stars, she felt so energized that she began to run. She told me that she never runs, but because she felt so much energy, she began to run and continued to run. I believe she said that she ran for a mile or more and was still not tired. Suddenly she stopped and said to herself; “How can I do this? I never run like this and I am still full of energy.” And then she thought, “The only thing I've done differently was to walk that Vaastu labyrinth this afternoon. That is why I feel so good and am tireless!” She continued to run; then returned to her room and decided to go to bed, even though she still felt fresh and untired. She immediately dropped off into a sound sleep and woke early, feeling well refreshed and rested.

In my personal work with Vaastu, I have had first hand reports of marriage and finances turned around in a very short time and in very striking ways in certain instances. One woman reported that both her marriage and financial life shifted from difficult to excellent within a few days. I have had reports of positive changes in individuals' sleeping patterns. I have observed many subtle changes some of which become more apparent over a period of time.

I and a close friend of mine have both experienced very similar healing effects within the space of a very small temple, which I designed. Centering, serenity, and an increase of energy have been observed as well.

I have, personally experienced the rejuvenation and complete remission of very painful arthritis in my knee joints in direct connection with time spent in Vaastu structures. I have also experienced the renewal of inner youth and enthusiasm, and a profound deepening of my spiritual awareness and integration/reconnection with all life, which is far beyond words, alone, to express. I have observed powerful and positive changes taking place in individuals and also in the natural environment, through the application of these Vaastu principles. I have received reports of land fills with chemical poisons and toxic water, neutralized and revitalized through simple applications of Vaastu principles. These have continued after I have left the area to fulfill healing and balancing functions beyond my original conceptions. I am reaching the point where nothing good surprises me in connection with the applications of Vaastu.

Vaastu principles also assist in bringing the secret and hidden to light. For those whose intentions and deeds do not bear the light of day, this may seem challenging or even undesirable. In another article I will relate more of the many deep and transformational spiritual experiences which I and others have had through the applications and inner experiences of the Vaastu principles.

Vaastu inherently enfolds both heaven and earth. It's vibrational support for the spiritual awakening of the individual and of the planet is far more potent and powerful then any agenda of the human ego. Vaastu fully and creatively encompasses the most practical, the beautiful, and the comprehension of ongoing spiritual transformation. Vaastu opens and empowers the inner path of re-connection and re-integration with the pure, primal, universal Source. Vaastu is ultimately the experience of the One within the experience of the many. The human consciousness and the physical body, the singular atom, and each physical cell contains within it's very vibrations the full picture and dynamics of the whole universe. The forests, the rivers, and the stars vibrate within each human cell. In Vaastu, we understand that this vibration is real, not just symbolic. The living and conscious Vaastu structure is aligned with universal life principles and contains the full dynamics of both the true atom and of the whole universe.

Vaastu can also be a stern teacher. Through it's applications, we re-discover the fundamental principles of creation itself. These principles relate to both pure creative consciousness and to the inherent processes of physics and nuclear forces. Vaastu teaches us how to use these powerful forces for the highest good and benefit of all beings.

I have observed and experienced many more true stories which I will save for a later time. My journal of these real life experiences is an ongoing one. It is a never ending story. I am also interested in hearing of the experiences of others in connection with these Vaastu principles.

I am sharing these personal stories at the request of my dear Vaastu guru and friend, Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati who has opened up this amazing world of Vaastu for me. I believe Dr. Sthapati to be the greatest authority and teacher of the true South Indian Vaastu spiritual science in our time. Thanks are not sufficient to express what I and many others owe him for the power, wisdom, generosity, selflessness, and beauty of his life and service. Dr. Sthapati has devoted his life to reveal the true depth of the Vaastu science to the world, for the purpose of consciously re-creating heaven on earth in this timing.

This Vaastu reveals itself to be of the highest level of universal intelligence and divine order, capable of leading us into a new paradigm of life on earth. The stated purpose of Vaastu is to create heaven on earth. True Vaastu begins with the transformation of the inner being and expresses itself outwardly in harmony with the cosmic creation at the most fundamental levels. Indeed it is the alignment of creation with the Creator. We are the co-creators when our manifestations are in musical harmony with the primal and eternal intelligence.

The true spiritual science of Vaastu encompasses the inner comprehension of all facets of creation from spirit, air, fire, water, and soil, to the seed, the growth and maintenance of life, and of well being at all levels.

The knowledge of Vaastu which is now made available to the world in a very pure form, is a key which unlocks our deepest creative potential.
